Hey Everyone,
I do know I am still going to have lots more of lessons throughout my lifetime but these are 10 life lessons I’ve learnt so far.
- Don’t be afraid to fail, you might think that there is nothing else that can go wrong but they do and all you need to do is pick yourself up and try even harder.
- Never be afraid to ask for help when you need it. Pride always comes before a fall, so don’t let your pride get the best of you. If you can get help do ask.
- Life is too short. Now this is still one of the lessons I am getting to understand even more. Every morning we wake up is a new day. So try new things, travel, eat something new, the same morning never repeats itself.
- Stop comparing yourself to others. You will never know what someone else is going through behind the scenes, so follow your own path and stop looking back.
- Try and discover yourself each and every day, don’t limit yourself to a particular thing you will be surprised at what you are capable of.
- Always see the good in another’s. This one can be difficult as much as there’s that one person that ones to make you go nuts, just find the good in them and all will be fine.
- Not everyone is what they seem to be. Have people you can rely on and build each other up. Friends come and go but if you get to have just one to be there for you when need be, then stick by them too.
- Family is always important. Blood is thicker than water, don’t forget to be around family from time to time.
- Be kind to others, it doesn’t hurt to say “Good morning”, the goodness comes back to you. As the quote says what you see in others exists in you, here are various things happy people do
- Lastly, love deeply and unconditionally.

I’ve learned pretty much the same lessons so far. Not so much about family, though… I’m kind of estranged from mine. I have learned to let go of what other people think of me. It really doesn’t matter at all in the end 🙂
In this life, all that matters is yourself and what you think about it. Thank you for stopping by.
These are some lessons I learned as well during this year. One important one I learned was taking care of myself sometimes. I’m always quick to help another, or go the extra mile and completely forget about myself. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, it’s really important to get time for you.
These are all such good lessons. And no matter how much you read it, they can mostly only be learned through experience! I still have a hard time asking for help.
I am also still working on that, makes me think I would be disturbing someone if I ask for their help.
I love all of these! They’re so inspirational. The first one is my fave <3
Thank you so much.
I’m in love with number 5 <3 It's all too easy to forget!
Often the most important and precious life lessons we always learn too late … karma is really bastard!
These are definitely some wonderful life lessons, and I so relate. I especially love and relate to the last one <3
Thumbs up for this list. What I’ve learned is you really have to believe in yourself.
These are some great life lessons! It is amazing all the different things you learn over your years of living.
I have learned that as a momma, it is just as important to care for my own health and well being as it is to care for my children’s.
Yes, these are some great lessons. I have learned not to compare myself with others. We are all different, and that’s okay!
Learning to discover myself has opened me up to a world of possibilities. Thank you for sharing this womwonder and insightful list.
I super love your article, amazing and so inspirational. Try to discover yourself today and everyday, love it!!!

The stop comparing is a biggie that I try to follow. I am me and I am unique so that is what I follow.
one of the lessons I learned is save save save! retirement plan is so crucial and saving the earlier is the best way !
I actually wrote a whole blog post about the lessons I’ve learned. If only we could go back and tell our younger selves.
These are such great lessons. I agree with all of them! I especially like the be kind to others lesson. It’s so simple, yet so important and so overlooked.
I think I’m still learning not to compare myself to others. There are times I’m confident and happy with where I am but other times I find myself comparing myself to HS friends who chose a very different life path from me.
These are some great life lessons! I love the first and fourth quotes. Thank you for sharing this.
All these life lessons are so on point. I 100 % agree about being kind to others. And yes, family is the most important. Also, the comparison thing is so real. Thanks for sharing it with us.
While I agree that family is always important. Sometimes blood is not thicker than water. When my dad died, his siblings (whom should be my family also) revealed their true colors. Thus, I can even trust and rely on my friends who are more family than them. sorry if i was a bit sentimental here. Anyway, these are great lessons.
It’s okay and that’s why we end up learning which people really matter in our lives.
Love deeply and unconditionally is the best lesson of all. It all starts with love
What an amazing article. I think my most valuable lesson is that family and our health are the most important things we have in our lives!
I particulary love the first point. Some great lessons you’ve learnt I’d say!
Failure is part of life and the best way to learn. Family is so important! couldn’t agree more! one lesson i have learnt is to cut toxic people out of your life. Life is too short
My two favorites, life is too short, so I use my best jewelry, my dresses and great accessories, I don’t wait for a special occasion anymore. And family is everything!
I learnt them long back joan. But now I am starting to get tired of myself.
these are great life lessons! especially don’t be afraid to fail!
