10 TIME-SAVING TASKS YOU CAN DO WITH YOUR PHONE AS A BLOGGER

Hey there,

Ever wondered what it would be like if we had no phones? Well I do know that we would have better conversations and see each other more often but when it comes to blogging, I honestly think that it would be so difficult to accomplish some of the things that my phone does better and faster than my laptop, I hope you can all relate to this. So, today I am back with another blogging post on 10 time-saving tasks you can do with your phone as a blogger.

10 TIME-SAVING TASKS YOU CAN DO WITH YOUR PHONE AS A BLOGGER

1. PHOTOGRAPHY

As much as there are sites where you can find free stick photos and all which I do use by the way, I also like being able to take my own photos when it comes to my recipes and products I use. I know I could probably get a camera but if my phone can do what a camera can then I don’t see the point until I really need one, plus my phone does take great photos and the best part is you really don’t have to own any fancy expensive phone nowadays because almost all smartphones do have great camera quality.

2. USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA

Since everything is all online now and social media being at the top of our social lives, another time-saving task you can do with your phone as a blogger is post on social media without having to be on your desktop. Also when it comes to commenting on posts and liking, then you have to admit that your phone is way easier and just makes it faster to be over and done with.

3. WRITING DOWN BLOG POST IDEAS

Have you ever been out on errands or just having a walk and all of a sudden an idea comes to mind and you just know that it would be a great blog post? The best thing is you don’t have to try and memorise it as if your life depended on it, just use your notepad on your phone and write the ideas down then come back later and go ahead writing your post. I usually also use it even while at home since my toddler thinks my laptop is a drum and all he can do is bang on it. More on how to find blog post ideas here.

4. RESEARCHING BLOG POST IDEAS

Talking about ideas, another task you can do with your phone as a blogger is research blog post ideas, be it on Pinterest, Facebook or reading articles. I always use my phone when it comes to my research and the best part is you can do it anywhere and anytime.

5. WATCHING VIDEOS

Now this kind of takes most of my time some days because once you start watching one video be it on Youtube or even listening to a podcast, you get so glued on them that you end up spending so much time on there but the best part is you can do it on your phone either walking, waiting in line or just wherever you are and you don’t have to be on your laptop or desktop. Also you are able to comment on the videos, in real time, be able to edit your own videos or add tags you missed without having to wait to reach home.

6. DRAFTING A POST

Another time-saving task you can do with your phone as a blogger is to definitely draft a post which can easily be done either by writing it down quickly or using your speaker to read it out and your phone to save it up for you, the best thing about this is that you end up having what you had in your mind written down without having to remember later on what you thought or said then you just come back and finish up your post and all the editing.

7. READING AND REPLYING TO OTHER BLOGS

I know you can do this when on your laptop but for me, my phone makes me reply to other blogs way more faster thus saving me time which makes it my favourite task to do with my phone. I usually even do it when cooking and if I am still waiting for dinner to be ready, I am literally multi-tasking replying to other blogs and the best thing is the auto-correct option which just makes everything much more easier plus I don’t have to move from tab to tab which irritates me at times.

8. MANAGE SOCIAL MEDIA GROUPS

When it comes to blogging, we tend to be involved in so many groups in social media that we have to be on top of them either when posting to them or just being able to manage them. For me, my phone is a time-saver when it comes to Facebook groups and just knowing which ones I posted in or threads I haven’t finished yet. That’s why this one had to be included in my 10 time-saving tasks you can do with your phone as a blogger.

9. SCHEDULING PINS

This right here, I sort of found out accidentally after my queue in tailwind was empty and had totally forgotten about it which is a huge mistake I know. Once I found out I could pin from my phone in tailwind, that made my life so much easier because before I could get an email on my phone while in bed and would have to go back to my laptop and try and schedule as much as I can for the next day, don’t blame me it does happen that I sometimes forget how many pins I have scheduled.

10. READING AND REPLYING EMAILS

Last but not least, is reading and replying to your emails. I know that most people do prefer doing this on their laptops or desktops but if I do have the time and end up receiving an email when far from my laptop, then the phone will definitely do. That is if it’s an email that requires urgent attention or response other than that then it would just have to wait until later on.

That’s it 10 time-saving tasks you can do with your phone as a blogger, if there are any other ones I have left out, please do tell in the comments below and if there any that you constantly use your phone to do then I am happy to hear too. In case you missed my previous beauty post do check it out here and until next time see yah. Tell me which do you prefer doing your tasks with? Your phone, laptop or desktop.
