Hey there,
Gosh, this week seems to be flying pretty quick. I hope you’re all having a good one and managing to accomplish all you wanted to do. Since It’s Wednesday, I always publish a recipe post and today, these sweet fluffy homemade dinner rolls are definitely the ones to try. Honestly, these are my favourite dinner rolls I have ever made and never fail me, and so long as you use the same cup to measure everything, then you will have no failures. Plus they are very good to freeze for up to a month and you just thaw and heat in the microwave or oven. This recipe is one I got from my sister and I think it’s the only one I wrote down because I didn’t want to forget any detail. They smell amazing while baking and even better when eaten warm or room temperature. For the recipe you will need:
Ingredients
- 4 cups of all-purpose flour
- 21/4 tsp yeast
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1/2 a cup very warm milk
- 1/2 a cup very warm water
METHOD
- In a bowl, pour in 2 cups of flour, yeast, sugar, vegetable oil, salt and your egg.
- Then add your milk and water and give it a good mix, I did this with a spoon but you can use a dough mixer.
- Once it’s all combined, add the other 1 cup of flour and it will come together and finally the last cup of flour.
- I use my hands at this point and turn it over to give it a good kneading until it comes together into a perfect dough.
- Back into your bowl, pour a tablespoon of oil rub it all over and cover to double in size.
- Once risen, punch the air out and give a bit of a kneading once more.
- Divide into equal pieces and form into ball-shaped dough balls.
- Then place them on an oiled tray, cover and let them rise again.
- Preheat your oven to 180°C/350°F/160°C fan assisted.
- Once risen, into the oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Once done, brush with melted butter.
- Serve and enjoy.
NOTE: Make sure you use the same cup to measure all the ingredients for this to turn out perfect and not interfere with the measurements of the ingredients.
That’s it my lovelies, simple sweet fluffy homemade dinner rolls for you to try and enjoy. I hope you like them as much as I do and I also have some simple bread rolls if you prefer them to these. If you have any questions for me, do leave them in the comments below and I will definitely get back to you. Until next time, have a lovely day, stay safe and blessed.
