How are you all doing today? I hope your week is getting on just fine and staying safe as always. Today I have for you one of my favourite childhood recipes and brings back great memories. Not only did I have this when younger but even now I would still have them anytime when the craving decides to check-in. Now I do know there are different versions of this recipe and other names like “viazi karai” but I am sharing what I know and how I remember them. My Kenyan potato bhajia recipe is what I am talking about, flavourful, spicy and so delicious if I say so myself. You can easily order bhajia in many restaurants in Kenya and they will either come with some ketchup or my other favourite, a tamarind dip which just takes them to another level. For my Kenyan potato bhajia recipe you will need;
6 WAYS TO EXPLODE YOUR BLOG’S PAGEVIEWS IN A BRAND NEW BLOG
Happy New week,
Hello everyone, I hope you all had an amazing weekend and are staying safe. We were surprisingly visited with some snow yesterday which was great to have and to also witness my youngest seeing his first snow. I hope it decides to stay awhile for a snowman attempt. Anyway, today I am back with another blogging post for you and is for those people who just started blogging and are still figuring out how to increase their page views without selling their souls or having to buy something to get the information they need. So here are 6 ways to explode your blog’s pageviews in a brand new blog if you are a newbie. In case you missed my post on the mistakes I did before launching my blog, do check it out here.
Blogging is really hit or miss sometimes whereby what may work for one blogger may not necessarily work for you and that is totally fine. There’s no point of beating yourself up if you tried what another person did and it just didn’t work. All you have to do is regroup and find new strategies that will work for you, I have personally used these specific ways and they really helped me out when I got started and still do up to now.
WHAT YOU SHOULD INCLUDE IN EVERY BLOG POST
Hello Everyone,
When I decided to start a blog, I told myself to just focus on the launching part and figure out the rest later on. Little did I know what was ahead of me, I never thought that writing one blog post had so much more entailed than just hitting publish. A blog post has much more entailed than just typing down words and sharing it to your readers, which I did learn along the way after making my share of many mistakes. So what should a blog post have? Every blog post requires certain properties for it to make a good post and here are some points on what you should include in every blog post.
Disclaimer: I am not saying that these are the only things you should include in every blog post because I know there are lots more out there and that we learn as we go. My posts are not perfect and I am just sharing what has worked for me and how I use them in my blog posts.
What makes a good blog post?
- Should have images
- Should be easy to read
- Have good SEO
- Good grammar
- Have headings
- Gets you more traffic
Now that you know what a good blog post is let’s get on with it and see what to include in every blog post.
A SIMPLE BASIC BISCUIT RECIPE
Hello Everyone,
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and starting off your week right. Can you imagine Christmas is right around the corner? Since we are in another round of lockdown and I haven’t posted on here in like forever, I decided to go ahead and pop in real quick and update some of my old recipes. I made these quite a lot during the first lockdown and they always go down a treat. This is a simple basic biscuit recipe which you can make like literally in minutes and won’t have to worry whether or not you’re going to mess up and they always turn out great.
OVEN BAKED HONEY SRIRACHA CHICKEN WINGS
Recipe week 3 (Day 5)
Finally we have come to the end, I would have continued up to day 7 but l decided to stop on day 5 and give it a rest since I still have other posts scheduled unrelated to food and are long overdue. I have really enjoyed posting everyday this week and as much as it wasn’t easy with kids and life in general, I managed. Also I call them recipe weeks for a reason which pushes me to be able to do them. So today I am going to share with you my love for chicken wings, like I really LOVE chicken wings and if I had to choose to have them every time I had any chicken dish then I definitely would. My oven baked honey sriracha chicken wings recipe is what I have for you today, sticky, spicy and just finger licking good. You will need;
SIMPLE PERFECT MOIST BANANA BREAD
Recipe week 3 (Day 4)
Guess who? Yes, it’s me again and the week is almost over. We are on day 4 and I am super proud to have been able to do this. Anyway how are you all doing today? I hope all is ok and you’re all getting on just fine. The heat is apparently starting to check in and today was not that comfortable, I mean I do like warmth but not scorching if you know what I mean. I thought tomorrow would be better but apparently it’s going to be even higher than today, I guess outdoor cooling activities are in order. If you remember a while ago, banana bread was everywhere and I don’t know why but I also jumped on that wagon and made this simple perfect moist banana bread. Hence the recipe for today, you will need;
CHEESEBURGER QUESADILLAS
Recipe week 3 (Day 3)
So as promised I am back with another one, I hope you’ve been enjoying my previous ones so far and just in case you’re new here then stop by day 1 and 2 and check out how this recipe week began. Now I don’t know about you but I was never one to be adventurous with coming up with new meals or trying to change out one to be something totally different, but guess what? I totally have it in me and I am liking it. “What do you do when you have left over burger patties?” Cook up some burgers or change it all up and use the meat to make some delicious cheeseburger quesadillas. I mean the obvious thing would be to just whip up the same thing you had the night before, but giving it a new twist makes it much more satisfying. These cheeseburger quesadillas require;
MONGOLIAN BEEF AND BROCCOLI
Recipe week 3 (Day 2)
Today is all about some beef and broccoli which brings you to my recipe for Mongolian beef and broccoli. I tried this before and after a few failed attempts I ended up with this perfection of a meal. It’s super flavourful, easy to prepare and turns out great all the time. I hope you do like it and get to try it out and do stop by day 1 for a lovely apple tart dessert. For this recipe you will need:
PUFF PASTRY APPLE TART
Hello Everyone,
I hope you’re all doing fine and that your week started off great. Are you already back to normal life? I guess it depends where you are and how the situation is. From the title, you already know that I am back with another recipe week and that means I will be bombarding you with recipes all week to catch up with my Youtube channel. I hope you don’t mind and I will be starting this week off with a simple puff pastry apple tart. Honestly, once I found out about rolled out puff pastry, then everything changed and now I just love using it all the time plus it’s great for quick desserts when you have no time at all. For the ingredients, you will need:
STOVE TOP TENDER CHICKEN STEW
Recipe week (Day 5)
We are almost there, it’s day 5 and another recipe is coming your way. So apparently we are going to be on lock down for another 3 weeks, at this point I don’t even know what to think anymore. I used to complain on how school runs were getting difficult and tiresome but its times like these that I’d totally love to walk for 30 minutes and pick up my son. How are you all coping by the way? Unless I am the only one overreacting and I have no idea. My baby boy turns 2 this weekend and I have already seen what the terrible twos have in store for me that’s why the playground being open would totally be lifesaving or anything that doesn’t involve running around the house screaming. Let’s just jump right into today’s recipe, my stove top tender chicken stew.
